United As One

We live in a world where there are multitudes upon multitudes of people from all different cultures, races, ethnicities and backgrounds and it is all quite beautiful! I think about it often and it just sets me in awe how God has created all these different people and we are all unique, there is something in each and every one of us that sets us apart from the rest. With different races comes different attitudes, ways about doing things, different ways of eating, different dialects, different physical features and characteristics and so much more! Now while I and many other people also find this to be pretty amazing, there are still those in our world who have a backward way of thinking! There are those out there who believe that their race is the best race and there should be no other on this Earth but them and since that's not going to change then they believe that the other races should be treated as inferior to them, submitting to whatever authority they want to put in place. As my Pastor says this is "upside downatude." God made each and every one of us! We all have the same Father, no matter what ethnicity or racial background we come from. I think if we all began to sit back and realize that we are all supposed to be in the same boat of life together things would change. This verse got me thinking on this topic today: Numbers 15:15 "You and the alien shall be the same before the Lord." I love this verse because it shows us how God views us. Though the Israelites viewed those who were among them who weren't of the same race as an alien, in God's eyes they were the same! I love that! I'm not trying to bring on world peace or anything like that, i'm simply trying to open your eyes to a different point of view, to see the world we live in differently. So in closing I would like to say instead of trying to separate yourself from that person who may be of a different heritage than you, come together. You could learn and experience some amazing things! Everyone has something special to offer! Don't have a closed off 18th century mindset, open up, relax and embrace those who are different around you! In turn God will embrace you! God Bless!
