Thankful

Sometimes its good to take a step back and look at your surroundings and thank God for it. No matter what situation or circumstance you are in just tell God thank you. With all the debauchery going on in the world, violence, poverty and other atrocious monstrosities taking place in this current day and age we have to be thankful for our current position, no matter what the case may be; knowing that bad times don't last always. I used to sit back sometimes and analyze my surroundings and would then become upset because things weren't the exact way I wanted them to be but then the Holy Spirit would step in and put me in check and then I began to look at things with a whole new perspective. The Holy Spirit began to show me things that those in my family were going through, then He had me look at things that others in the world were going through and then He made me look at my situation. would sit back and reflect on those issues and it made me wake up and realize that what I go through isn't nearly as bad as I make it out to be and it could sure be a lot worse. Now when I get down I just look up to my Father and say thank you. Simply saying thank you to Him because though I may not like the battle i'm currently in, I know it could be a lot worse, so I thank God for holding back some of the sorrow and pain that very well could seep into my life at any moment. So don't sit back in self pity with a "woe is me" attitude, give thanks to God because He has kept things you haven't even seen from getting a hold on you and the current situation your going through, He's going to deliver you from that as well. Recognize the words in that statement, "going through" which means you aren't going to stay stagnant in that position, your coming out and going into something so much more beautiful and God's preparing you for it. Tough times are meant to make you stronger, not tear you down. God would never put more on you than you can bear. I know it's not what you want right now but things could sure be a lot worse, so thank God that it isn't and thank Him because you know, believe and have faith that He is going to make it all right! Stay Strong!God Bless!
