Many of us attend Church quite frequently throughout the week (as we always should) and so many times after the service is over, many are rushing out the door, back out to the hustle and bustle of the world. My Pastor often says, "Why are so many in a hurry to get back out to hell?" and I agree with him. Stop! Take a breather! Slow down! Don't be in such a rush to leave the presence of God and to leave the company of your brothers and sisters. Stay a while. Strengthen them and allow them to strengthen you. Enjoy each other's company in the presence of God.
But our banding together in the Body of Christ shouldn't only be done at the building called the Church. We should also come together as often as we can outside the Church walls because that's where the real problems occur and where we are hit and affected the most. Be like the Churches in the New Testament. There were very few believers during that time (like 60 in a city of 250,000), so they made it a priority to come together and they met in each others homes. Now if anyone who is reading this, and is anything like me, then you probably don't want 60 people in your house which is understandable and our society doesn't really permit us to all come together and live in one community, that would be a bit cult like. But if you could just get together with 3 or 4 different people and just come together in the presence of the Lord, that would make a huge difference and you don't have to just stay in the house, you can go somewhere and have fun and the Lord will be right there with you. I feel as though there's a big misconception among people when it comes to the Body of Christ; like we don't know how to have fun. I don't know about anybody else but i'm having the time of my life living under the will of God and i'm sure it's the same for many others.
So come together with your brothers and sisters. Reach out and meet some new people in the Body of Christ. Go out together to the highways and byways and spread the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And enjoy this beautiful life our Father has created and blessed us with!
God Bless!
