True Worship
So what picture comes to mind when you think of worship? I know quite often people in vision a Church congregation, dancing and singing praises to the Lord; and while that is a form of worship that isn't it, it's more to it than that. You see, Jesus didn't die so you could just go to Church, spend some time there once a week, giving Him an honorable mention for an hour and half if that, then leave and go back out to the hustle and bustle of the world until the next Church day rolls around again. That's not what true worship entails at all. But rather true worship is the life we live in the presence of God every single day of our lives. Yielding to Him, living under His will, taking heed to His commands, worshiping Him in spirit and in truth; that's what true worship is all about. It's a relationship with God Almighty not just giving Him a shout out here and there, that's not what Jesus desired from you when He went to the cross. As Jesus said, "God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."~John 4:24. So begin to take those extra steps toward God in your life, to make Him more apart of your everyday, not just a part of one of your days. Begin to watch for His movement in your everyday life, listening for that faint whisper from the Holy Spirit, beckoning you toward Him. God desires more of you but you have to take the first step. Begin to live that life of true worship to God that Jesus went to that cross and died for. He longs to have a relationship with you. Let Him in! God Bless!
